Full Time Retail/Trade Sales

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new sales opportunity at Hayles, offering a dynamic role encompassing both trade and retail sales.

With our expanded Apple Juice and Cider production, we seek a candidate to elevate our trade sales while serving as a key contact for existing customers.

Responsibilities include engaging with new and existing customers, addressing sales inquiries, conducting tastings, and managing the end-to-end order process. Additionally, the role involves overseeing warehouse operations to ensure timely order fulfilment.

You will also be responsible for curating our outdoor brands within the Farm Shop, featuring renowned names such as YETI, Gozney, Traeger Grills, Blundstone, and Swanndri. While prior knowledge of the outdoor cooking sector is beneficial, comprehensive training for each brand will be provided. Your duties extend to coordinating demo days with brands and introducing BBQ masterclasses during the summer season.

Though predominantly based at the farm, the role entails some travel during the summer to various shows and events where we showcase both our beverages and outdoor brands. Given the diverse nature of this position, the salary will be commensurate with experience.

Front of House/Barista

We're on the lookout for a new Barista/Front of House as we expand our team at The Orchard Kitchen.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Taking client orders and receiving payment
• Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers
• Maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment
• Grinding and brewing coffee
• Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of coffee and educating clients and colleagues about these coffees
• Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented and tasty beverages

Previous experience in a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential, a willingness to learn is more important. Due to our location own transport is essential. Full weekend availability is required.

Salary: £10.42-£12.50 per hour

Brunch Chef

We’re excited to be looking to recruit a talented Chef to work within our rapidly growing team.

The Orchard Kitchen at Hayles Fruit Farm has fast become a brunch destination and due to this we are looking for an additional person to work with our existing Chef. We believe it’s success is based on being a fresh food led kitchen using locally sourced produce where possible.

We’re open 7 days a week plus Friday evenings during the Summer for Fish & Chip night. There’s no split shifts but you will be required to work weekends.

The ideal candidate should:

• Enjoy a varied role working within a small friendly team
• Have worked in a Commercial Kitchen
• Maintain a high level of quality at all times
• Have the confidence and experience to work solo at quieter times
• Understand and comply with food legislation
• Keep all kitchen areas clean & tidy
• Have their own transport since we are not accessible by public transport
• Whilst not essential baking experience advantageous
